This was my first entry for the Duirwaigh competition.
I was kind of thinking if Imagination really were to knock on your door what would he/she/it look like?
My earliest memory of having faery stories read to my was by my Great-Grandmother, and my first reall proper faery tale book - a big red hardback full of wonderous pictures - was given to me by my Great Aunt so I guess I've always associated such things with elderly ladies.
The cart full of the things that inspired my imagination was quite involved in its making. Each item as drawn in full, cut out and collaged together to create the final sketch I worked from.
The original is 16.5 x 13 inches in watercolours on hot-pressed paper
