From A Midsummer Night's Dream:

Oberon to Puck:
"Yet mark'd I where the bolt of Cupid fell:
It fell upon a little western flower,
Before milk-white, now purple with love's wound,
And maidens call it love-in-idleness.
Fetch me that flower; the herb I shew'd thee once:
The juice of it on sleeping eye-lids laid
Will make or man or woman madly dote
Upon the next live creature that it sees."

Titania ends the play convinced her night with a donkey-headed fellow was nothing more than a dream....until she finds the enchanted flowers and begins to guess at Oberon's secret.

original is 11 x 16 inches in watercolour on hot-pressed paper.

You've done it with watercolours? I'm impressed - it's really difficult for the beggines such am I :)

It's great how you create the mystic atmosphere here. The only thing I'd change is her face which looks rather old - it's just a proposition for your future arts - to work on it^^ but it's my subjective idea, of course :)

so cool! I really like how you put the border around the scene, it makes it look like one of those illustrations in old storybooks. nice job, good luck!
