This is a key thief - one of the pixie family (Pixidae Furtumis clavis to be exact) who can cause such a nuisance for humans with their naughty tricks.

This one was painted in watercolors with the background being added digitally afterwards. It was a sort of trial run for some of the paintings I'm doing for the 'Herbarium Intermundia' project but was also created for this month's Enchanted Visions [link] theme.

There must be an entire family of these around my house - my keys are lost all the time! :lol:

It's expression is great and I love the colours and the details like the band with keys. :)

There have been a few in my house too - like the time me and my husband had to leave home to catch a train and they hid his house keys in a desk drawer!!
